Ski freestyler Emma Weiß missed the final round of the aerials competition on her Olympic debut in Beijing.
The 22-year-old only scored 75.98 points in the qualification at Zhangjiakou’s Genting Snow Park on Monday and thus failed to take part in the first final round of the top twelve. World Champion Laura Peel from Australia got the best score (104.54).
“It’s a shame, but I tried everything. It was clear that even with a really good jump it would be difficult to get into the final. But all the stress was definitely worth it,” said Weiß.
White had tested positive for the corona virus on arrival in Beijing, and her CT value has fluctuated constantly since she was first infected in November.
She spent the past few days separated from the German team, but was allowed to leave her room for training thanks to negative tests.
