Olympic champion indicates her second end of career

Therese Johaug has already completed her career – and then came back. Now the Olympic champion wants to finally break over.
After her last race in Holmenkollen, Therese Johaug indicated that her career is now finally over. “I think that was the last time,” said the Norwegian cross-country legend at the Norwegian TV broadcaster NRK.
Johaug, who announced her comeback before the season, won four medals a few weeks ago at the Ski World Cup in Trondheim. Now she says: “I’m through, I’m really.” Johaug even left open to start at the World Cup in Lahti (Finland) next week: “It was probably the last day. Let’s see how it feels during the week.”
At a family reunion, the members would have discussed a start, said Johaug. “We don’t agree yet,” said Johaub with a smile. While the majority of the family voted for a start in Lahti, her sister spoke out against it – Johaug also.
She emphasized that she now thinks differently about the end of the career than in 2022: “Back then I felt that I was not yet finished. Now I know that life has more to offer – my family and other things in everyday life.”
However, her husband does not quite believe in a career end: “I have the feeling that she continues and I want her to know that I support her.”
