Gelson Martins is moving from AS Monaco to Olympiakos – the Greek top club announced the transfer of the 28-year-old winger on Tuesday evening. Martins, who played no role at all under Adi Hütter at the Monegasque team and was last on the field in February 2023, costs a transfer fee of 3 million euros. Monaco also secured a resale share of ten percent.
For Martins, who was once considered a top talent, AS transferred a whopping 30 million euros to Atlético Madrid in 2019, the fourth most expensive transfer in the club’s history. Since then, the 21-time Portugal international has scored 16 goals and 14 assists in 129 competitive games.
