Olympia / figure skating: Seegert hopes for pair skating

After his positive corona test, the German figure skater Nolan Seegert confirmed his hope of playing in pair skating.

“I wish our team all the best for the upcoming team competition,” wrote the 29-year-old Berliner on social networks. He will do everything to be able to compete in the pair skating competition with his sporting partner Minerva Hase as planned on February 18th and 19th. Hase/Seegert missed the start in the team competition before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.

The 22-year-old Berliner also wrote that her goal remained to represent Germany at the Olympics. Seegert was the first German athlete to test positive for the corona virus in Beijing and is in an isolation hotel. After two negative PCR tests at least 24 hours apart, those affected can leave before the end of ten days. After the deadline, only a negative PCR test is required. If Seegert meets these requirements, he could compete in pair skating.
