In the nomination proposal, the eight starting places were allocated to the best German athletes in the overall ranking. Julia Taubitz (Oberwiesenthal), Anna Berreiter (Berchtesgaden) and defending champion Natalie Geisenberger (Miesbach) are represented among the women.
Eitberger (Ilmenau), the silver medalist from Pyeongchang 2018, is ninth in the overall standings without a podium place this winter behind the competition. In December, she also slowed down a corona infection, and at the beginning of the year last weekend in Winterberg, she fell.
