Olympia 2022: Gold medal celebrated with Haka dance

Actually, New Zealand is not a classic winter sports nation. Nevertheless, a ski freestyler has now secured gold for the island state. His team in the run showed his enthusiasm in a very special way.

Freestyle skier Nico Porteous has given New Zealand its second gold medal in the history of the Olympic Winter Games. The 20-year-old won the Zhangjiakou halfpipe in front of the American dominator David Wise, who triumphed in Sochi in 2014 and in Pyeongchang in 2018. Porteous, who finished third at the Games four years ago, is the first New Zealand freestyle skier to win two Olympic medals.
