Olof from B&B Vol Love is open to dating: ‘Never say never’

Olof Ormeling (76) from Vught is open to love. He has no shortage of attention after his participation in the viewing figure gun B&B Vol Love. “I have great contacts,” he says on Tuesday in the Omroep Brabant program Brabant Today.

Olof managed to conquer the hearts of many viewers in the RTL program B&B Vol Love. He traveled to Portugal for the dating show to conquer the heart of the extremely chic Marian. The down-to-earth good guy quickly became a crowd favorite.

The retired marine engineer offered Marian plenty of help in the series, nothing seemed too crazy. He even enthusiastically went to sleep in the engine room, because there was not enough space in the bed and breakfast. He found out that there was nothing more than friendship with Marian. At the last minute he decided to keep the honor to himself. He chose to leave, much to the loss of his fans.

“I’m still very good friends with Marian,” he beams. “We were already in Portugal. She wanted me to stay,” he adds. “She has a house in Den Bosch and I sometimes go there. It’s not love.”

“I’m just Olof and no one else.”

In his own Vught, Olof can no longer walk the streets normally. One after the other also wants to take a picture with him on Tuesday. Thumbs up as he walks by. Even a woman from Assen is overjoyed with a snapshot. “I’ll take the time for that,” he beams. “I’m no more than anyone else. I’m just Olof and no one else,” he says matter-of-factly. He goes for coffee in the village dry cleaners. “The owner signed me up for the program without my knowledge.”

“Of course I’m not 35 anymore, am I?”, he jokes about his love life. “I meet enough. Not really dates, more friendly.” Or something serious? “That can just happen. Never say never”, Olof beams. He does not want to say much about his dates. “I don’t want to embarrass those people.” He is also overloaded with messages from fans, especially female, on social media. “It’s actually crazy.”

“We have to be realistic, but Hollywood can call.”

He also has a real Delft blue tile with his famous slogan ‘There is nothing wrong with that’. A domain name has already been registered. “My son does all that,” laughs Olof. What’s the plan? “Maybe nice to sell. Or maybe we’ll make shirts for carnival or something,” he fantasizes aloud.

The white screen now follows the picture tube. Olof gets a supporting role in the romantic comedy called, how could it be otherwise, ‘Bed & Breakfast’. He plays a guest there, just like participant Anne. The recordings are already in full swing. Whether Hollywood can also call? “We have to remain realistic, but they can always call,” laughs Olof.
