Olli Schulz cancels large parts of his 2022 tour

Olli Schulz had to cancel all of his planned February appointments. The reasons he gives are “known” – we all know what we’re talking about.

Schulz explained on Facebook on Thursday that the concerts would not be postponed or made up for, tickets already purchased would be refunded from the respective providers. Schulz wrote: “I would have been very happy to finally be back on stage with my band, but unfortunately the danger is just too great right now. I’m just as frustrated as you are, but I don’t want to vent my anger. Because I have a bit of hope for March and that’s why I’m not canceling these concerts yet.”

The following 18 Olli Schulz concerts will be canceled without replacement:

  • 07.02.22 Haldern – Gasthof Tepferdt
  • 08.02.22 Koblenz – Rhein Moselhalle

Olli Schulz originally wanted to play his tour under the name “Actually, I didn’t want to go there anymore” in 2020. For the same well-known reasons, nothing came of it back then. In January 2021 he announced the new dates – most of which are now final.

What some of his younger fans may not even know: the entertainer, storyteller and podcaster Olli Schulz is also a musician. In 2003 his debut with the beautiful name IF YOU BREAK MY HEART, THEN I’LL BREACH YOUR LEGS as Olli Schulz & The Dog Marie appeared on the Kettcar and Tomte label Grand Hotel Van Cleef. Two more albums were released in this band constellation, followed by four more solo albums by Schulz. The current one is called SCHEISS LEBEN, GUT TALKED and came out in 2018.

Since 2016, Schulz has been moderating the podcast “Fest & Flauschig” together with Jan Böhmermann, which emerged from the Radio Eins program “Fest & Flauschig”. In 2021, Schulz was seen in the Netflix documentary “Das Hausboot” alongside Fynn Kliemann.

On January 26th we launched a digital space that we set up for bands, musicians, promoters, clubs and solo self-employed people in the live music business. There everyone can communicate their concert announcements, postponements and cancellations and find out about projects, jobs and special releases. Statements can also be posted and opinions discussed.

It’s a kind of digital “bulletin board” and is intended to help the music scene get through the Covid crisis relatively unscathed.

Send your information and comments (maximum 700 characters) for (free) publication, preferably with a photo, to: [email protected]. The BackToLive page can be found at musikexpress.de/backtolive.
