Olli Kokko is fifth in the EC breaststroke with SE time

Finnish swimmer Olli Kokko was fifth in the 50-meter breaststroke EC final with a time of 27.26. The time is a new Finnish record in the 50-meter pool. The previous SE time was Eetu Karvonen in possession from 2009. Kokko improved the time by 0.13 seconds.

Last year, Kokko swam into a 25-meter pool, a Finnish record from the same distance. Then his time was 26.35.

The EC final was a double victory for the Italians. He scooped up gold Nicolo’ Martinenghi with a time of 26.33, and he was followed at the end of the pool Simone Cerasuolo 0.62 seconds ahead of his compatriot. Bronze swam Germany Lucas Matzerath.

Veera Kivirinta also in the 50-meter breaststroke for tomorrow’s European Championship finals in Rome. Kivirinta was Fifth in the semi-finals with a time of 30.77. He lost to the fastest time by 1.33 seconds. The final starts tomorrow at 19:05.
