PASI LEISMA
The Finnish javelin throwers could not match the results of the top men at the Dutch FBK Games in Hengelo, but organized an even competition for third place.
Oliver Helander finally managed to beat last summer’s EC medalist Lassi Etelätalo. The man from Oulu’s Pyrinnö scored 80.50 with his fifth and took the last place in the final round, where the throw was 75 meters. At the same time, valuable points were added to the account for the summer World Championships.
Etelätalo’s best result was 79.93. The representative of Joensuu Kataja hit 77–80 meters with all three of his approved throws.
