Spear thrower Oliver Helander went to show his approximator in investigations. He missed the Oulu rankings on Sunday due to his effort.

According to a press release from the Finnish Sports Confederation (SUL), it turned out that nothing more serious was found in the studies of Finnish medal hope.

– Oliver went to Seinäjoki for a magnetic resonance picture on Monday. No indications of injury were found. He plans to compete in the Diamond League Stockholm competition on Thursday, Helander coach Tero Pitkämäki says in a press release.

At the same time, SUL named two new athletes to its World Cup team. Helander and hurdler Viivi Lehikoinen have been selected to join the team.

Only athletes who have exceeded the score limit and have not previously been selected to join the team were taken into account in the selection. On July 1, athletes who qualify through the International Athletics Federation rankings will be selected.

Lehikoinen fell short of the World Championships’ 400-meter genuine score by 55.40 with a record of 54.96 in Geneva, Switzerland in mid-June.

Helander broke the 85-meter result limit in the javelin throw already last summer and reached a record 89.83 in the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku.

The World Cup will begin in Eugene, USA on July 15th.
