An older woman from Tilburg who wanted to take a bath for the first time in a while, ended up in an unpleasant situation on Tuesday evening. She was unable to gain strength and get out of the bath. She was stuck there for an hour until the police came to help her. Two female officers lifted the woman out of the bath.
“It had been a long time since she had had a bath, normally she takes the shower,” the police officer said. “But on Tuesday she thought it could be nice again.” When she finished bathing, the woman discovered that she could no longer lift herself up. She couldn’t exert any force because she had something on her arm. “There was a non-slip mat in the bath, but that didn’t help either.”
Luckily she had her phone with her and was able to call the police. Her neighbors had the key, but were already sleeping. “After ringing the doorbell for a long time, the neighbor opened the door. Three bunches of keys later, we found the right key.”
Because it was a woman, two female officers decided to go to the bathroom. The male officer waited downstairs. The older woman, who had been there for an hour, was helped out of the bath by the officers. “The woman is doing well, that is of course the most important thing,” says the officer.
