Old Christmas tree from Noordenveld shows off one more time at manor Mensinge

In the near future, a Christmas tree that is over twenty years old will be displayed on the grounds of manor house Mensinge. The tree comes from a private person from the municipality.

The tree is at its best from Wednesday: then the lights are hung in it. It is the first time that such a large tree has been planted on the Mensinge site. “The tree comes from people’s garden. Somewhere in the municipality, this old pine was put down years ago as a small tree,” says director Mara Bosboom van Mensinge.

The tree was put into the ground today by volunteers from the havezate and employees of the municipality of Noordenveld. At Mensinge, hard work is being done to redesign the garden in the style of the past. “The Christmas tree fits perfectly with that. We are completely happy with it.”
