Olcay Gulsen receives an ugly sneer from Bob Sikkes, the big star of the TV hit Buy Without Watching. He finds the way she talks about her private life strange.
Bob Sikkes has been a well-known Dutchman for a number of years, but it still takes some getting used to about him. He is not really interesting for the tabloid press, because he has been happily in love with his boyfriend Michiel for over eleven years. However, he does not want to make any statements about this in the media, the Buy Without Watching star tells Weekend.
Bob doesn’t understand Olcay
De Weekend wonders whether they have made agreements about this. “Olcay Gulsen once said that her now ex-boyfriend Frans did not like her talking about their sex life in the press. Do you have agreements about this with your partner Michiel?”
However, Bob has no desire at all to talk about his intimate life. “I am not going to discuss in the media exactly what kind of relationship I have, or whether there are arguments or not. That’s nobody’s business. If you’re talking about Olcay and her sex life: I don’t understand why you discuss such personal matters.”
Exhibitionist
Bob thinks Olcay is quite an exhibitionist, but he himself is not. “I was taught sobriety, let’s keep the church in the middle of the village. With us it was like: don’t exaggerate, there is no need for that. I quickly realized that that is absolutely not what I aspire to.”
Does that also mean we’ll never read juice about Bob? “I once read that someone said about me: ‘I was at a recording once and I thought Bob was very arrogant. He didn’t want to eat with the team.’ Maybe I was updating my emails at the time or something else came up. But that’s how it can be explained.”
Fan of Bonnie
Finally, Bob reveals that he is a fan of Bonnie St. Claire. “I really like Dutch music. And I’m not talking about Acda and de Munnik, but for example folk singer Danny Nicolai and Bonnie, I like that. At the beginning of January, Michiel and I threw a big party because we had been married for eleven years, three weeks and four days.”
And there was Bonnie. “No, it didn’t get out of hand then, but it did get wild. It was definitely a good party, so to speak.”
