Oktoberfest Alteveer moves to new location

The Oktoberfest Alteveer no longer takes place in Alteveer. In order to be able to expand, the organization will set up the party tent a few kilometers away, on the Riegs heights dike just outside Kerkenveld.

The name Oktoberfest Alteveer will continue to exist. “It is nearby, Alteveer and Kerkenveld form a twin village,” says organizer Johan Sok. The move is necessary to expand. “We want to party for two nights. There will be a ’90s party on Friday evening. There will be T-Spoon, the Party Animals, DJ Stefan Leur and laser shows, as you can see at Pump up the 90’s in Hardenberg.”

The Oktoberfest has been held in recent years at the event site in Alteveer. At the Riegs Hoogtenijk, ‘just that little bit more’ is possible, says Sok. “You are further away from the nearest houses, so more is possible in terms of sound.”

In past editions, about 3,500 people came to the party on Saturday evening. Sock aims for more. “There is enthusiasm for that. How much more can’t be said yet. Last year we had to work with QR codes, then it was something different. But in the years before that we had to sell no.”
