Official: Studio 100 ends collaboration with Plopsa CEO Steve Van den Kerkhof
LITERALLY: This is how Studio 100 responds:
“As previously mentioned in the press, Studio 100 received reports from the editors of De Tijd about the working environment at its amusement park division Plopsa. As a result, an investigation was initiated by master Christine Mussche. This investigation has since been completed and the findings have been forwarded to Studio 100.
In the interest of all involved, we will not go into more detail about this investigation. We wish to thank Master Mussche for the expertise with which she conducted this research. The collaboration with CEO Steve Van den Kerkhof was terminated.
Steve Van den Kerkhof has been one of the driving forces behind the beautiful growth of Plopsa over the past 23 years and we are grateful to him for that. Pending the appointment of an (interim) CEO, Koen Clement, chairman of the Board of Directors of Studio 100, will immediately take over the current affairs at Plopsa. In addition, the collaboration with a member of the Plopsa management was also terminated.
Gert Verhulst & Hans Bourlon: “The past period has given us food for thought and we will take all necessary measures to ensure that every working environment within the Studio 100 Group is and remains positive and pleasant. In the interest of our employees, we will initially communicate internally about any measures. However, together with the entire Plopsa team, we hope to be able to turn this page and we will enthusiastically get to work doing what the heart of Plopsa is: offering our visitors an unforgettable day in one of our fantastic parks.”
Response from den Kerkhof on social media
This morning Steve Van den Kerkhof responded briefly on Facebook. “Proud of what we have achieved with Plopsa, the best roller coaster of my life in the last 23 years. Thank you to everyone who helps us build this beautiful story!”, it sounds.
