Flekken in front of Ter Stegen: Most expensive goalkeeper transfers in the Bundesliga
“During his time with us, we got to know and appreciate Florian as a goalkeeper with a convincing athletic performance and as a great person,” said sporting director Klemens Hartenbach. “Flo has a very good sporting basis and still has potential for improvement – that’s a great combination. We are very happy that he completes our goalkeeper trio with his qualities. There are clear internal agreements and so we have a good feeling that we have a strong team of goalkeepers in this long season and many competitions with Benjamin Uphoff, Noah Atubolu and Florian Müller.”
Müller, who played 31 Bundesliga games for Freiburg in 2020/21, added: “I have fond memories of the season at Sport-Club and I would like to build on that. I’m looking forward to the competition in Freiburg and I’m looking forward to an SC season with the fans behind me – I wasn’t allowed to experience that two years ago because of Corona.”
