Official: Osimhen called up by Nigeria: he will be in the Africa Cup

Now it’s official: Victor Osimhen will participate in the Africa Cup, scheduled from 9 January to 6 February in Cameroon. The Napoli striker, in fact, has been called up by Nigeria: in the list of 28 another “Italian”, the Turin player Aina. Osimhen had dissolved his reservations about his physical condition with a tweet posted a few days ago: “I will be available for the African Cup unless I am among the players chosen to represent Nigeria”. In addition to him, among the Eagles of the coach Eguavoen also the Torino winger Ola Aina.

Osimhen had resumed training in Castel Volturno with a protective mask made of carbon and kevlar, after the serious injury suffered in November in the match against Inter. Napoli, for its part, aims to have him back on the pitch when he returns from the Africa Cup, so barring unforeseen events in February.
