Official: FC Bayern lends new national players

It would have been difficult for youngster Malik Tillman to play regularly in FC Bayern’s top-class squad. Therefore, the newly crowned US international is temporarily moving on.

Now, however, Tillman is leaving the record champions, if only for twelve months. The 20-year-old will join Glasgow-based Europa League finalists Rangers FC on loan, it was officially confirmed on Friday night.

Tillman, who came from SpVgg Greuther Fürth at the age of 13, should “develop further with the Scottish record champions,” said FC Bayern.

The young hope is still under contract with the German industry leader until 2024. In the medium to long term, Tillman should definitely play a role in the plans of the club bosses, but the competitive situation on Säbener Straße is currently overwhelming.
