Official: Eintracht Frankfurt signs US talent Paxten Aaronson

Brother of Leeds pro Brenden

Eintracht Frankfurt made the first winter transfer perfect. The Bundesliga club announced the signing of Paxten Aaronson on Thursday evening. The 19-year-old US talent from MLS Cup finalists Philadelphia Union will join the “Adlerträger” on January 1 and has signed a contract until June 30, 2027.

“In Paxten Aaronson we were able to sign a very desirable and talented player who will give our offensive even more flexibility in the future. We have a clear plan with him and want to build it up carefully. Paxten will get the necessary time from us to get used to the new environment and to develop in the best possible way,” said Eintracht sports director Markus Krösche.

Aaronson had one goal in 25 mostly short appearances for Philadelphia in the 2022 season and nine goals in ten games for the reserves. In the “Bild” there was talk of a transfer fee of 3 million euros plus bonuses, but according to information from Transfermarkt.us the basic amount is 4 million euros. In the club’s history, Eintracht only spent more money on an U20 player for Evan Ndicka (€5.5m to AJ Auxerre) (statistics).
