Bruna was acquired in the Seghwaert shopping center more than a year ago. The stationery store was given a new name and changed into Gift & Book. Store owners Ramin and Mohsen had ambitious plans for the store, but unfortunately they are forced to close the store.

Ramin Krimi is very emotional when he tells us that the doors will close for good on September 1. “I would like to thank the customers for their loyalty. It’s a nice neighborhood with nice people.”

“Do I hear you’re closing now?” a lady at the cash register asks. “What a pity. I always buy my postcards here in my trusted mall. So I’ll have to go somewhere else.” Rinus walks daily from Noordhove through Zoetermeer. On the route he stops at the shop in Seghwaert. “I get my Lotto tickets here and then I always have a chat. It’s always fun, so I’m very sorry that the store is disappearing.”

I’m going to miss this store so much
Ramin looks with sad eyes when he hears the stories. “My associate Mohsen Razai and I don’t want to stop at all. We just wanted to expand the business and hire additional staff. We’re running into two issues that force us to close the case. I can’t say too much about it but we can’t come to an agreement with the owner of the property and we both have health problems. Due to a persistent hernia, I have to slow down. That’s why we wanted to hire extra people to take care of this. But that won’t work because of the business conflict. I will miss this store immensely.”
Gift & Book is open in the Seghwaert shopping center until 31 August. Ramin gives his loyal customers high discounts, from 25 to 60 percent. The discount does not apply to books and magazines. Ramin and Mohsen would like to thank all the people in Zoetermeer for their trust.
