OFC has lost another championship candidate in the second division. The Oostzaners played a 1-1 draw against De Treffers in Groesbeek. Max Veerman scored OFC’s only goal. The draw means that AFC is back at the top of the second division.
Jordy Thomassen made the opening goal after twenty minutes on a pass from Brian Campman. Via Max Veerman, OFC reached the same level in the second half. With that, Pieter Mulders’ team played a draw against a champion candidate for the second week in a row. Last week, AFC was already the victim of the team.
The Oostzaners did their fellow provincial AFC a good service with the draw. OFC remains at the bottom with ten points. The last game before the winter break is against competitor IJsselmeervogels.
