Budapest (AP) – Former Bundesliga coach Michael Oenning is no longer the coach of the Hungarian first division soccer club Ujpest FC. The cup winner from Budapest announced on his website on Friday that they had separated from the 56-year-old.
After 17 league games, Ujpest is currently only in tenth place in the table just before the relegation zone. After working for Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, Oenning took over the Ujpest team in December 2020 and led them to the cup. In German professional football, he coached 1. FC Nürnberg, Hamburger SV and 1. FC Magdeburg.
