New in the database
The TM database has been enriched by another milestone: After the 1947/48 and 1948/49 seasons, the 1949/50 season of the Oberliga West can now also be viewed in full. As in the two previous years, Borussia Dortmund became champions, relegating Prussia Dellbrück and Rot-Weiss Essen to second place with 20 wins and three draws from 30 games. In the subsequent final round, however, it was already over in the round of 16 in a duel against VfR Mannheim, which was lost 1:3.
BVB’s Adi Preißler was crowned top scorer for the second time in a row. After 23 goals in the previous year, the former center forward 49/50 scored another goal for the black and yellow (to the statistics).
