A larger picnic group with five children was only just able to save itself from a falling oak branch in Berlin-Lichtenberg.
The branch, five to ten meters long, slowly and noisily broke off the tree in the Lichtenberg city park on Thursday evening, as a dpa reporter observed.
There was enough time for about ten adults and five children to get to safety. The branch eventually fell on their picnic spot. Nobody got hurt.
It was not immediately known why the branch broke off.
