Nusrat Choudhuryspent most of his professional career at the national ACLU, theAmerican Civil Liberties Union, where she dealt with racial justice and national security issues. His job was to oversee a group that focuses on issues including First Amendment rights and government transparency. But also voting rights, access to reproductive health care, and the rights of foster children and people in prisons and jails.

She recently handled the indictment for fraud and money laundering of the New York Republican Congressman George Santosbut also of the trials of the singer R. Kelly, the Mexican drug trafficker El Chapo and the leader of the Nxivm sect Keith Raniere.
