1. FC Nürnberg missed out on a non-relegation spot in the women’s Bundesliga.
In the 1:2 (0:1) against Bayer Leverkusen, the Franconians remained without a home win in the sixth attempt of the season and are two points behind fellow promoted team RB Leipzig in the penultimate place in the table.
After their second away win, Leverkusen are in the top half of the table, but are only in visual contact with the places in the Champions League qualification.
Leverkusen’s first win after the winter break was completed by goals from Melissa Friedrich (28th) and Emilie Bragstad. For the hosts, Selma Magnusdottir’s equalizer (49′) was not enough to prevent their second defeat in a row.
