Koninklijke HFC is back in second place in the second division. The Haarlem team won convincingly 3-0 against Excelsior Maassluis on Spanjaardslaan and are therefore three points clear of AFC, which played one game less.
In the first half hour, the team of trainer Gertjan Tamerus made short work of the visitors from South Holland. Roy Castien scored the opening goal after twenty minutes of football and three minutes later Jordy Hilterman doubled the score in favor of the home team. In between, Jim Hulleman saw his bet hit the post. Wessel Boer headed the final score on the scoreboard halfway through the second half after the game had largely already been played: 3-0.
With the easy win, Royal HFC continues its strong streak. Since the resumption of the second division, the Haarlem-squad is still unbeaten. Royal HFC now has 38 points from 20 matches.
The team will visit GVVV on Saturday.
