The number of HIV diagnoses in Belgium will increase by 4 percent in 2021. Last year, 781 people were diagnosed with HIV. The Sciensano health institute reports this today. In response to the study, Minister of Health Frank Vandenbroucke (Vooruit) announced that the federal government is providing an additional budget of 1 million euros for an HIV plan to bring the HIV epidemic in Belgium under control. “Belgium really needs to step up its game.”
