Number of asylum seekers Ter Apel spends the night in the open air

About ten to twenty asylum seekers at the application center in Ter Apel voluntarily spend the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in the open air. They have built a makeshift shelter with blankets and crush barriers. Dozens of other refugees who could not be accommodated elsewhere have found a place on chairs in the waiting room of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND) and on mattresses in a sports hall.
