Nuggets-Lakers, prediction and odds for game-1 of the NBA playoffs

In Colorado the first act of the match between Denver and Los Angeles Lakers: seeded #1 against #7 in the West, the odds speak for themselves

It seems to be back to 2020 and the Orlando bubble: same conference finals, both in the East and in the West. It begins on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday (two ball at 02:30) with game-1 between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers: Jokic against LeBron is the title, of course. But compared to three years ago, both teams have changed: it will be interesting to observe how the coaches, with their choices, will direct a series between two teams that, so far, have never lost at home in the playoffs. Here are the odds and forecast for Nuggets-Lakers, race-1.

Nuggets-Lakers, the odds

Series that, for bookmakers, has a clear favorite: the Nuggets, seeded No. 1 in the West. Just look at the odds on the winner of the Western Conference, with Jokic and his companions quoted at 1.60 on Snai, 1.62 on bet365 and 1.7o on Goldbet and Better, blackboards in which the Lakers are instead at 2.10. But the yellow-violet share rises to 2.30 on Snai and 2.40 on bet365.

The gap limited to race-1 is even wider. According to the major betting sites, the team led by Ham has little chance of leaving the Ball Arena unscathed: the victory of the Nuggets tonight is worth just 1.35 on Planetwin365 and 1.37 on Goldbet and Better. Even Betway (1.38) remains below the threshold of 1.40, which instead unites the other blackboards. On LeoVegas the maximum odds: 1.45. On the other hand, the odds that contemplate the opposite scenario are much higher: the victory of the Lakers is even worth 3.00 on bet365, 2.96 on DaznBet, Netbet and Sportbet, 2.80 on Pokerstars Sport.

Nuggets-Lakers, the prediction

The Lakers started their previous two series against Memphis and Golden State with an away win. But according to the experts it is very unlikely that this eventuality will happen again: Denver – like LA, it must be said – has never lost in front of its fans in these playoffs. Furthermore, on paper, the pairings seem more congenial to the Nuggets: this game-1 could therefore be used by the Lakers to study countermeasures for the rest of the series. Without forgetting the Jokic factor, who averages 30.7 points, 12.3 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game. In the series against Phoenix, the two teams scored 224.8 points per game; between the Lakers and Golden State, the average, again in six games, is 222.5 points. The odds of 1+Over 222.5 points are interesting, at 2.47 on Netbet, 2.60 on Snai and 2.65 on Goldbet and Better.
