The German basketball legend Dirk Nowitzki has been voted into the team of the best Europeans in NBA history. This was the result of the voting by fans and the jury on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the North American professional league. The Würzburger received the most votes from all nominees.
Nowitzki will be joined by two-time “MVP” Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, and former stars Pau Gasol and Tony Parker. Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, most valuable player of the past season, made it into the second team.
Nowitzki, who won the championship with the Mavericks in 2011, was selected to the “Anniversary Team” last October for the 75th NBA season.
