Elian Lehto took a wonderful tenth place in the Alpine Skiing World Cup downhill competition in Val Gardena, Italy.

The ranking is the shared best quote of the 25-year-old speed expert’s career. The ranking was the same last season in February at the Crans Montana spit.

Lehto was behind Switzerland, who won the race From Marco Odermatti 0.82 seconds. Switzerland took a double victory in the race, Franjo von Allmen was 0.15 seconds behind his compatriot. The third was Italy Dominic Paris (+0.19).

– A good start to this race weekend. Two more races and let’s focus on them. There was definitely room for improvement, but there was really good work to be done. Let’s continue tomorrow and the day after tomorrow from where we left off today and take more World Cup points, Lehto said in Ski Sport Finland’s press release.

A bad fall was seen in the competition. Norwegian Fredrik Moller got wet with his back on the slope after the jump. Moments earlier, the man’s speed was measured at over 120 km/h.

After the shock, Møller collected himself for a while, but after a while he was able to get up on his knees. He was flown to a nearby hospital for further tests as a precaution.

The conditions in the race were difficult. Heavy fog made it difficult to complete the race.
