Now the Megaburger and tortillas have disappeared from the list – Hesburger’s retail chaos continues

The popularity of the Foodora Pro campaign has surprised the organizers.

Hesburger has reduced its selection in the food delivery service Foodora in order to cope with the gigantic order volumes. The order rush started in the first days of the year, when Foodora launched a campaign where Pro customers of the food delivery service get Hesburger’s entire menu at half price.

Now several products have disappeared from the menu. People on social media have wondered where, for example, the mega burger, double cheese burger, giant bacon burger, tortillas and warm chicken salad have disappeared from the order menu.

The removal of the products from the list has sparked numerous angry comments on social media, as the campaign is advertised as covering the entire Hesburger menu.

CEO of Foodora Joonas Kuronen admits that the menu has had to be reduced.

– It is true that some limitations have been made to Hesburger’s selection in order to be able to fulfill orders. The biggest favorites are still available as burgers and meals. Snacks and desserts are also still available. The aim of the restrictions is to guarantee the sufficiency of raw materials to meet the increased demand and to make the work of restaurant workers easier.

In addition to the disappearance of the products, people on social media have wondered why Hesburger restaurants have not appeared in the application as usual.

– Restaurants have not been removed from Foodora’s selection. The application always shows the nearest open restaurant. Restaurants can temporarily close the application themselves if they are unable to accept orders, says Kuronen.

Kuronen says that the backlog of orders caused by the campaign has surprised him.

– We expected that the campaign would get consumers moving, but such a big rush has come as a surprise to us as well. We couldn’t have predicted that the Pro campaign would generate the kind of volume we’ve seen now.

Kuronen asks customers to be patient in an exceptional rush hour situation.

– In the end, Foodora’s customers have taken a very understanding approach to the matter, and we hope that the customers will continue to be patient. It is also good to note that the Pro campaign also applies to many other restaurants where you can order the dishes you want.
