Now that’s rare! Queen Silvia is in a group photo with her 8 grandchildren

All Silvia and Kaarle Kustaa’s children and grandchildren spend Christmas in Sweden.

Queen Silvia surprised when receiving Christmas trees in the Royal Palace. Usually one member of the royal house is receiving the six, but this time it was different. Silvia didn’t receive the six by herself, she had all eight of her grandchildren with her.

There were even Madeleine’s children living in the United States, i.e. the princess Leonore, princess Adrienne and the prince Nicholas.

The court’s representative also confirmed that Madeleine and her family will spend Christmas in Sweden. At the same time, they also celebrated Queen Silvia’s 80th birthday. Silvia will turn two on December 23.

– The royal family spends Christmas together, but we do not comment on which days they celebrate it. However, they spend Christmas together and Christmas is a little different this year due to the Queen’s 80th birthday, a court spokesman Johan Tegel told Expressen.

According to Tegel, it’s great for the royals to celebrate Christmas together, especially since the year is intense in many ways due to the 50th anniversary of the king’s reign.

– In summary, this has been a big and exciting year, which we now get to spend together, says Tegel.

Madeleine and her family will reportedly return to Florida after Christmas. Around next year, the family will move to Stockholm.
