PoliticsWhile chemical giant INEOS is trying to get a new permit, the Flemish government will give the company a new guarantee. This offers the multinational up to 320 million euros in additional financial support. “INEOS is obliged to repay everything properly to Flanders, unless the company itself goes bankrupt,” Flemish Minister for Economy Jo Brouns (CD&V) assures today. In the meantime, the time is ticking for that new permit: INEOS wants to have it definitively within three months, or at least the company received that political commitment at the end of July.
