Now that Lidl is adjusting prices to cheaper raw materials: will our shopping cart cost a lot less again?

Is the exploded supermarket bill on its way back? Now that prices of energy and various raw materials have started to fall, Lidl is following the same trend for more than 250 of its own brands. Does this make a real difference at the checkout, and does it force other large department store chains to lower their prices permanently as well? Will our shopping cart become cheaper again just as it became more expensive? We asked some major chains and a shopping expert.
