Kalle Rovanperä will drive in the World Rally Championship in the first season. The recent world champion’s comments to Autosport almost completely water down the German media’s speculation about the Finn’s gap year.

Rovanperä’s manager Timo Jouhki denied the claims about Rovanperä’s gap year. He did not want to say anything about the extent of the driving program to the public

– I can’t say what he drives, but he drives anyway. I can’t comment more on contractual matters, Jouhki said.

Only going around the World Cup in vain would prevent Rovanpera from aiming for a third world championship in a row.

However, that is Rovanperä’s goal. The man himself confirmed it to Autosport when the magazine asked him about it.

– Of course. When you know what you are capable of, there can be no other goal than to pursue it again, Rovanperä said clearly.

Rovanperä also gave himself a goal. Additional wins and dominating the sport are on the mind.

– As long as you don’t win every competition of the season, there is always something new to learn.

Based on these goals and speeches, Rovanperä will drive the entire World Series next year.
