Now it’s official! The Spice Girls are making a comeback

Fans of Ysäri’s hit band Spice Girls can jump for joy, because the well-known girl band is finally making a comeback. The source confirms The Sun – magazine that the band members Emma Bunton47, Geri Horner50, Mel Brown48, and Mel Chisholm49, team up to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary.

The Spice Girls will by no means return to the stage with only four female members.

– During the last few years, the Spice Girls members have been working day after day as a foursome. But now for the first time in a long time Victoria Beckham joins the group and celebrates 30 years of girl energy, a source informs the magazine.

All other band members except Beckham, 49, last performed in 2019 on a short comeback tour. Express-magazine, Beckham said at the time that he prefers to focus on his family and business.

Now the star’s mind has apparently changed. Although, according to the source, Beckham’s return is great, he reveals that the singer has one strict condition.

– Victoria is adamant that she does not want to perform live unless there is an extremely exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the source states.

According to the source, all other members of the band except Beckham have tentatively agreed on tour dates, which would be in 2024. However, Victoria still brings her own ideas to the table. The source reveals that the band has so far discussed that they are considering Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage as their performance venue.

Promoting these issues still has its own challenges.

– Their schedules are quite manic, so getting them in the same room at the same time is challenging. Still, in the last six months, there has been more communication between the five than at any point since 2012, the source says.

On the side of a happy thing, however, the source has to disappoint fans about one thing.

– There is no new music coming from the band.

Even though there are no new songs from the band, the source dares to reveal what the Spice Girls might have coming in addition to the party gig.

– The girls have talked about a documentary that would show never-before-seen material from behind the scenes and contemporary interviews. All five are part of the 30th anniversary in one way or another. It’s very exciting, the source enthuses.

The Spice Girls are the most successful girl band of all time. Viisikko has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. Their hits include, among others Wannabe, Spice Up Your Life, 2 Become 1 and Say You’ll Be There.

The band was active in the years 1994–2001. Horner, then Halliwell, left the band in 1998.
