“Now go to the fireplace, that bolero”

Käärijä tells Yle how he has sometimes felt like a circus monkey during the busy year.

– When success and fame came, you realized that happiness is ultimately somewhere else.

That’s how it skyrocketed to peak popularity Wrapperthat is, Jere Pöyhönen comments on his wild leap year Above.

In the interview, Käärijä tells how a tough year has included a lot of work and too little vacation. After the Eurovision, the artist performed at 51 concerts around Finland during the summer. The pace is not getting any easier in the fall, and there is also a European tour planned.

Sometimes, in the middle of all the spinning, the artist has felt like a circus monkey.

– You get the feeling that you are a monkey in a traveling circus. You must not have feelings and opinions or others decide how things are and I have nothing to say about this, he says in the interview.

At times the pressure has been intense and then the thought of blowing the whistle has crept into my mind.

– Yes, there are those moments when the bolero goes to the fireplace and the song is deleted, if that were possible. But at no point has there been any hatred towards one’s own product. Maybe sometimes the artist gets the feeling towards Käärijä that he could go into hiding for a while and asks that he himself should be in peace, Käärijä tells Yle.

Käärijä’s fast pace already caused concern in April, when Iltalehti’s Viisupodi was discussing the running of the upcoming summer.
