Ferrari’s season in Formula 1 has turned out to be more difficult than expected. The Brazilian GP ignited even more sparks around the Italian team.

Mixed Lewis Hamilton that Charles Leclerc were forced to stop the race, and at the same time Ferrari fell to fourth place in the manufacturers’ championship behind Red Bull and Mercedes.

Chairman of Ferrari John Elkann did not hide his disappointment after the race. He stated that although the engineers have developed the car well, the overall package does not meet expectations.

– We clearly have drivers who should focus on driving and talk less. We still have important competitions ahead of us, and not second place [valmistajien MM-pisteissä] it’s impossible, Elkann snapped Sky Sports by.

John Elkann commented on Ferrari’s situation at the sponsor event. PDO

Elkann is the scion of the powerful Italian Agnelli family. The influential business family is especially known as the owners of the car manufacturer Fiat, Ferrari and the football club Juventus.

If at the end of the season Ferrari remains in fourth place in the manufacturer’s World Cup battle, it would be the team’s weakest season since 2020.

McLaren has already secured the team championship. It currently leads the World Championship points with 756 points. Second is Mercedes (398), ahead of Red Bull (366) and Ferrari (362).

Seven-time world champion Hamilton joined Ferrari for this season. However, he has not found a common note with the car and has mostly remained slower than Leclerc, especially in qualifying sessions, which Leclerc has won by 16-5.

Hamilton was really disappointed with his experience in Brazil.

– A complete nightmare. I’ve been living it for a while now. It was a dream to drive for this incredible team, and now these results are a nightmare, Hamilton told Sky.
