Novels Anjet Daanje from Groningen and Auke Hulst from Denmark on longlist Boekenbon Literatuurprijs 2022

Anjet Daanje from Groningen and Auke Hulst, who grew up in the village of Denmark, have a chance to win the Boekenbon Literatuurprijs 2022 (and therefore 50,000 euros).

They are on the long list of this literature prize announced on Thursday. A jury led by the Belgian politician Guy Verhofstadt compiled this list from a record number of 565 titles submitted by publishers.

There are 15 titles on the long list. Anjet Daanje makes with the novel The song of stork and dromedary (Passage) chance to win the prize, Hulst with the novel The Mitsukoshi Comfort Baby Company (Ambo Anthos).

Best Dutch literary book

The Boekenbon Literatuurprijs is the award for the best Dutch-language literary book of the year. Both fiction and non-fiction are eligible for award. The winner will receive an amount of 50,000 euros.
