Costa Rica international
Nottingham Forest have signed Costa Rican midfield talent Brandon Aguilera from LD Alajuelense. The 19-year-old signed a contract with the Premier League promoted team until June 30, 2026. In the past Primera División Clausura, Aguilera was loaned to AD Guanacasteca and was directly involved in seven goals in 18 games. Aguilera will continue to play for Guanacasteca on loan for the next six months.
“I want to thank God for this great opportunity at Nottingham Forest. It’s a dream come true for me to come to England and be part of this club that has such a rich tradition and history that is known around the world,” said Aguilera, who made his international debut last March . “The City Ground is a fantastic stadium and I can’t wait to experience it at full volume in the future.” When it comes to the fee, reports vary widely: while in England there is talk of £800,000 (around 940,000 euros), there will be 2 million US dollars (around 2 million euros) in Costa Rica.
