The justice department wants the Limburg scammer Stan T. to go to jail for six years and receive a TBS with compulsory treatment. He is suspected of wanting to have his ex-wife from Tilburg murdered. He is also said to have defrauded dozens of people by renting out non-existent holiday homes. He allegedly laundered the money he earned from this. His ex-wife has been living in fear with her children for more than two years, as is evident from her intense victim statement: “You want the mother of your child dead, while that is the only stable factor in his life because you are on the run because of your fraud practices.” .”
According to the justice department, T. looked for a killer on the dark web to kill his ex-wife in April 2021. He allegedly offered $5,000 for the murder and to bring their then seven-month-old son to him. An anonymous tipster informed the American security service FBI.
The suspect’s father and his then girlfriend are also said to have been aware of the murder plans via WhatsApp messages. When the FBI sounds the alarm, Stan T. has been a fugitive from Dutch justice for months. They are looking for him because of a fraud case for which he is ultimately sentenced to 14 months in prison. He was only caught more than a year later in Belgium and later extradited to the Netherlands.
Murder advertisement
Stan T. thinks the accusations are ‘nonsense’. “I’ve never been to the dark web.” According to him, anyone could have posted such a message, his lawyer also believes. “It came from an anonymous tipster and the murder ad is nowhere to be found.” T. also says he never wanted to kill his ex. “It’s the mother of my child, of course I don’t want her dead.”
The two have an intense relationship with heated arguments in which threats and violence are said to have been used on both sides. T. is said to have even threatened to cut his unborn son from his ex’s stomach at 24 weeks when he was viable. The suspect would also threaten to do the most gruesome things to his ex and her family.
Holiday homes
Stan T. is also suspected of defrauding 29 people by renting out holiday homes for a few hundred euros via Facebook. Only the houses did not exist. According to T., his ex-wife was the scammer. “All used telephones were in my name. She could not take out subscriptions because she was in debt restructuring. I thought all the money came from her clothing business.”
His ex said earlier in the television program Undercover in the Netherlands to be in debt for tens of thousands of euros, because her bank accounts were used for all kinds of scams by T.
To flee
After the breakup, there is constant arguing about the son’s visitation rights. The woman from Tilburg is being seriously threatened and photos of her house are also being sent. Her car tires are also punctured and later the entire car catches fire.
If the justice department gets wind of the murder order, the woman from Tilburg must immediately go into hiding with her children. She has now moved three times. “I live in uncertainty every day, have nightmares every day and want my life back.”
Long criminal record
It is not the first time that 25-year-old Stan T. appeared in court. He has been convicted several times in the Netherlands for fraud, cybercrime, harassment and extortion. He also has a conviction for fraud and swindling in Germany.
According to the Public Prosecution Service, T. is fully accountable, but he does have serious behavioral problems. “He is a serious risk to society if he returns without treatment,” the prosecutor said. That is why she demands six years in prison and TBS with compulsory treatment.
Stan T.’s lawyer believes that he will not receive a fair trial because not everything is investigated. The verdict is on October 20.
