Germany’s Oscar nominee “Nothing New in the West” celebrated its premiere on Tuesday evening at the Kino International.
The Netflix production, which will be shown exclusively in cinemas for four weeks from Thursday, is the first German film adaptation of the anti-war novel by Erich Maria Remarque (1898-1970).
In addition to director Edward Berger, leading actors Felix Kammerer and Albrecht Schuch also appeared at the Berlin premiere.
Daniel Brühl, who plays the politician Matthias Erzberger in the film, was unable to come to the premiere.
