Not three, but four suspects arrested in Assen robbery

Four suspects were arrested in the house robbery last night at the Van Swinderenhof in Assen. The police previously spoke of three arrests.

Three of the four suspects entered the home of a 43-year-old man around 11 p.m. yesterday. They demanded items and assaulted the victim. The robbers fled with a small amount of money in a gray station wagon.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the robbery. He decided to drive after the suspects in a car with a nearby resident, who came to call for help. They then arrived at a house on the Groenkampen. There the suspects were arrested by the police.

It concerns two men (18 and 44 years old) from Assen, a 48-year-old woman from Assen and a 39-year-old man from Enschede. So three of them entered the house, what is the role of the fourth suspect and who that is, is part of the investigation, according to the police.

The police have already conducted an investigation in the house on Groenkampen and in the gray station wagon. The suspects are still in custody. The police hope to get in touch with people who can share images from a doorbell camera, for example.

Last week, three people in Anreep, near Assen, were also victims of a home robbery. Several suspects also entered the house there. Police see no connection between the two robberies.
