All the balls on Romain Bardet

BLOCKHAUS – In the previews of this Giro, it was mostly about that one Dutch team, Jumbo-Visma, but after the first nine race days it is that other Dutch formation, DSM, that has a view of the pink. Leader Romain Bardet was one of the strongest on the brutal ascent of Blockhaus, although the disappointment prevailed because he narrowly lost the sprint to Jai Hindley in a spectacular final. His foreman Thymen Arensman showed on the steep flanks why Ineos-Grenadiers is angling him in next year.
