Norwich City are the first to be relegated from the Premier League

4 game days before the end of the season

Norwich City are the first to be relegated from the Premier League with four games remaining. After the 0: 2 (0: 1) at Aston Villa on Saturday, the promoted team is 13 points behind a non-relegation zone and has to leave the English football upper house after just one season.

Ollie Watkins (41st minute) and Danny Ings (90+3) sealed the final relegation of coach Dean Smith’s team with their goals for the hosts. The coach had replaced the German Daniel Farke in November, but did not manage to make a real sporting turnaround. Along with Smith, former Werder pros Milot Rashica and Josh Sargent, who switched to the Canaries for €20.5 million before the season, also have to make the transition to the second tier.
