Kim Yo-jong responded to earlier reports that the South Korean defense minister had spoken of a preemptive attack on northern neighbors, according to state broadcaster KCNA. That was, according to Kim Yo-jong, “a very big mistake.”
“Unless the South Korean military takes military action against our state, we do not see it as a target of our attacks,” Kim Yo-jong said. “But if South Korea, for whatever reason, takes a military action such as a ‘preemptive strike’, the situation changes. In that case, South Korea itself becomes a target.”
“This is not a threat,” Kim also said. “This is a detailed explanation of our response to possible reckless military actions by South Korea.”
