The North Korean authorities have announced a regional lockdown and are conducting more research into the origin of the infections. The country also introduced a lockdown in May after the number of “fever” infections rose rapidly. North Korea says it initially got through the corona pandemic unscathed thanks to strict border controls.
As far as is known, there is no vaccination program in North Korea. The regime claims to have developed its own treatment.
